Arsenal!!! Fabregas!!! and errmmmm hmmmm Mourinho

Well lets start with Mourinho, when news came through tat Chelsea have drawn 1 - 1 with Rosenberg i was laughing. The 2nd news came and i wasn't laughing. Mourinho has left Chelsea. oh man its a draw and he is sack. last season arsenal almost lost to hopeless west ham @ emirate, never a doubt wenger wasn't going to be sack. Poor mourinho. 1st season win title, 2nd season still champion. Not many can do it. i personally like mourinho as a manager. He gt e attitude. Chelsea will not find a better manager.

Arsenal have been playing football out of the planet according to robin van persie. The departure of henry somehow gel the team together. 5 new arrival @ the club but i would like to highlight Bacary Sagna, since his intro to the team arsenal def have become much more solid. He slotted into arsenal easily. Attacking @ the right time, rarely expose @ the back, strong physical presence. Especially @ set piece arsenal now seems to be much more solid. Masterpiece from wenger, making signing @ right back ain't seem the right choice as we have 4 player tat can play there. Eduardo is yet to play a part while the rest are much for the future.

Fabregas is a money grabbing Bast**d, since making a bet with Alexander the great Hleb and Thomas Einstein Rosicky, he have been scoring goals non stop. Never underestimate the power of money, i am not sure about how much money is involve in the bet but it's reported in the SAM's times paper its worth up to $16.5 mil in remembrance of Theirry Henry transfer to Barcelona.

Well I never felt that Arsenal will go into crisis or fall out of the top 4 @ the start of the season, neither do i feel that they will win the league.
But the sign are showing;

Man UTD
I feel Man UTD in some ways are in a transition year. Scholas and giggs are great players but i have a feel that they are past their prime. Much would depend on how much the new signings can contribute to the side. Injury and suspension show that Man Utd will struggle without ronaldo and rooney. If they are goin to win the league, they aint going to win it just by the R and R

Liverpool
The strongest of the top Four, In most position there is @ least 2 quality backup.
Strongest and centre mid and striker. But i find their defence especially centre back is the weak, not with agger and carragher, but news jus came in that agger will b out for 6 wks. together with alonso. alonso wont be affecting liverpool much, but with agger out means carragher will partner hypia. Against the top side it would make a difference. and also pool winger aint devastating, although pennant has improve this season but i can see him being shut out by a quality full back. and riise aint a out and out left winger.

Chelsea
They probably didnt wan robben to go but he refuse to sign a new contract so i guess they had no choice but to sell to madrid. i find robben a very gd winger, with him chelsea always spread and pull the defence. now chelsea source of creativity will rely alot and solely on lampard, and mayb joe cole. Sidewell pizaro malouda maybe gd but they aint the kind tat can produce a moment of brilliance or give chelsea flair. instead i find them making chelsea more worksman like.

Arsenal
i m an arsenal fan so i better focus on the negative if nt u guys gona say i biased like ronghwa, who is still hoping chelsea to sign Gamst morten God-like pedersen instead of ronaldinho cos he say:' ronaldinho won bacelona la liga, Pedersen kept blackburn in the premier league'. Seems to me pedersen is a much better player and much important den ronaldinho.

we got no world class striker. no more bergkamp no more henry. our strikers sometimes great sometimes shit, jonathan loo once commented tat robin van persie is not the striker to score u 20 goal and win u the league. shit him hope his wrong.

we got no great winger! infact we got no winger. hleb and rosicky aint winger, eboue is a right back and walcott he himself duno whether he is a striker or winger.

but we gt world class left back, read, F-L-A-M-I-N-I, yes flamini. According to ronghwa he is now the world class full back. yes with him ard and money grabbing fabregas who is gona win the $16.5mil bet with hleb and rosicky we are goin to win the treble.!!

*note: the last sentence is purely for entertaining purpose. it doesnt represent any view from simplelife17.

No Time for Exercise

The 10-minute fix: Develop a backup workout. When your gym time is unexpectedly cut to about 10 minutes, try 100s -- rack up 100 repetitions of each of three exercises by doing one move after another without rest. "Just get through each with good form," says Scott Rankin, C.S.C.S. Rankin suggests doing as many repetitions on the lat-pulldown machine as you can (using about 70 percent of your maximum), then doing pushups until your form breaks. Next, do as many crunches as you can. Repeat the trio until you've completed 100 reps of each exercise.

The 15-minute fix: Invest in TiVo. Skipping commercials will save the average TV viewer enough time to squeeze in 15 minutes of strength training three times a week.

The 20-minute fix: Go hands-free. You know the rails on elliptical machines and treadmills? Ignore them. "Leaning on the rails removes a percentage of your weight from the workout, causing you to burn up to 30 percent fewer calories," says fitness researcher Wayne Westcott, Ph.D. What's more, propping yourself up means the smaller stabilizing muscles don't need to do their job of maintaining balance, which burns additional calories.

The 25-minute fix: Mix cardio with weights. "If you have under 30 minutes, the key is to keep moving," says Adam Ernster, C.S.C.S., a Beverly Hills–based personal trainer. Try doing two resistance exercises back-to-back, followed immediately by 60 seconds of intense cardio, such as running on a treadmill that's set at a high incline, hitting a heavy bag, or jumping rope. Rest no more than 30 seconds, then do another set of resistance exercises and cardio, Ernster says. And don't forget proper form throughout the set. Here's a sample routine:

Dumbbell squat-press (12 to 15 repetitions)

Swiss-ball crunch (15 to 20 repetitions)

VersaClimber (60 seconds)

Rest 15 to 30 seconds.

Pullup (10 to 15 repetitions)

Pushup (10 to 15 repetitions)

Jump rope (60 seconds)

Repeat each exercise set three times.

The 30-minute fix: Take a stroller. Buy a jogging stroller and put a kid in it. Congratulations -- you now have an exercise device that helps burn more calories than running. Texas A&M University researchers studied a group of people running at the same intensity for 30 minutes with and without a stroller. When the group ran while pushing a stroller (which held a 25-pound weight plate), their heart rates were 10 beats per minute higher than when they ran stroller-free. "The father can remain (or become) active and at the same time spend time with his child," says John Smith, Ph.D., lead author of the study. Bonus: You'll score points with your wife by taking the toddler out of her hair. She'll thank you later. Go to joggingstroller.com.

No Time for Breakfast

Fix #1: Redecorate. "Move the fruit bowl to a handy place so you can grab a piece or two on your way out the door," says Donald Hensrud, M.D., director of the Mayo Clinic Executive Health Program and editor-in-chief of Mayo Clinic's Healthy Weight for Everybody. Grab an apple, pear, banana, or some other fruit you can eat while driving. Shove an orange in your briefcase; it's your antidote to the afternoon slump.

Fix #2: Relocate. No time to make a bowl of filling, high-fiber oatmeal at home? That's okay. Have your breakfast at work instead. Quaker Express oatmeal comes in its own cup and takes only a shot of water and 30 seconds in the microwave to be ready to eat -- and there's no cleanup.

Fix #3: Pop a multivitamin. Open bottle, swallow pill. It takes 5 seconds, and the benefits will go a long way toward making sure your weight loss sticks. A low-calorie diet may not provide enough B vitamins, which are necessary to draw energy from food, says Tim Ziegenfuss, Ph.D., an exercise scientist at Pinnacle Institute of Health and Human Performance. Popping a multivitamin every day will help keep your energy levels up, ensuring that eating less doesn't sabotage your efforts to exercise more.

Too Much Coffee, Cola, Juice . . .

The fix: solve your drinking problem. Liquid calories sneak up on most dieters. Buy a 32-ounce Nalgene bottle, keep it full of water, and drink it down at least twice a day. If you feed your caffeine habit with regular infusions of 20-ounce colas, making the water switch will save you upwards of 400 calories a day -- that's 42 pounds in a year. What's more, fluid balance is crucial when you're exercising on a calorie-restricted diet, says Robert McMurray, Ph.D., a professor of sports nutrition at the University of North Carolina. You're burning protein along with fat, which increases your body's need for water.

Falling Back on Fast Food

Fix #1: Cook less, eat more often. You think choosing the drive-thru saves time, but with minimal planning (and some Tupperware), you can get much better food, much faster. "Put in the effort up front," Dr. Hensrud says. "It will save you time later." On Sunday, plan your meals for the week, go grocery shopping, and start cooking. Cook a week's worth of brown rice, then divide it into individual servings. Dish out the servings into five containers and grab one a day to eat with lunch. Other easy cook-ahead items:

Salmon fillets. Cook three extra, wrap them in plastic wrap, and store them in the fridge. Eat them cold or make salmon salad (one chopped fillet minus skin, a scant tablespoon of low-fat mayo or Dijonnaise, a tablespoon or two of sliced green onions, and a handful of halved grapes).

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Cook three extra. Chop one and add it to a salad, or slice it into strips and wrap it in a whole-wheat tortilla with lettuce, tomato, onion, two slices of turkey bacon, and a smear of guacamole.

Turkey bacon. Cook 10 to 12 extra strips and add them to sandwiches or salads for extra protein, or just grab a couple of strips for a snack.

Fix #2: Buy a rotisserie chicken. Pick one up in the grocery store's deli section instead of a burger and fries from your local grease merchant. Once you peel off the skin, the chicken is a terrific low-fat source of lean protein. It can feed one man for 3 or 4 meals or a family of four for a single meal. And dismembering it will help you practice your bird-carving skills, should you be called up for duty on Thanksgiving.

That Irresistible Restaurant Menu

Fix #1: Start with a salad. No exceptions. Skip the bacon bits and croutons (but you knew that), and ask for oil and vinegar or the house vinaigrette. You don't need to completely eliminate taste, either. "To me, a small amount of healthy fat and calories is worth it," Dr. Hensrud says. Eating nutritious, low-calorie vegetables, even if they're sprinkled with a little cheese, beats filling up on the free bread.

Fix #2: Eat the fish. Lean protein helps you feel full. Fish is an excellent source, and it may go a step further in helping you fight fat. Earlier this year, preliminary research at the University of Navarra, Spain, found that the eicosapentaenoic acid (you don't have to pronounce it, just eat it) found in fish like wild salmon, mackerel, and cod can stimulate the release of leptin, a hormone that's been linked to appetite control and the regulation of fat storage.

Fix #3: Go vegetarian, sort of. Every time you order pasta, automatically ask for a side of the vegetable of the day and dump it into the pasta dish. "Vegetables are free food, dietwise," Dr. Hensrud says, "and by eating more vegetables and less pasta, you shift the calorie count around in your favor." Add some wilted spinach or other greens to spaghetti or lasagna; drop steamed squash or broccoli into that fettuccine Alfredo you couldn't resist ordering. You really should resist cream-based sauces, though. Opt for the tomato sauce for all its cancer-fighting lycopene.

An Overdose of Television

The fix: Floor it. Just lie or sit on the floor instead of the sofa. Same time, same channel, more calories burned. "When you fall into that couch, you're just gone, but when you're sitting on the floor, you keep moving a little bit," says Charles Staley, C.S.C.S., a Phoenix-based strength coach. "You start in one position, then shift to another, then another." That kind of mini motion counts toward your total daily calorie burn, and it adds up: Earlier this year, Mayo Clinic researchers found that fidgety people burn up to 300 extra calories per day. And when you're on the floor, you're more likely to do a few crunches or pushups.

Stick to Business

Rules for taking your fitness plan on the road

"When a businessman leaves town, he leaves many of his reasons for moral and ethical behavior," says Marty Tuley, a Kansas-based personal trainer and the author of Get off Your Ass: The Definitive Guide to Losing Weight, Eating Healthy, and Living Longer for Real People. "You can eat too much, drink too much, or have too many lap dances on the road -- simply because you can." We can't help if you have a stripper problem, but we can supply some road-tested weight-control strategies.

Avoid bad food ahead of time. Pack a sandwich, fruit, and nuts for the trip. They're healthy (and infinitely more palatable) alternatives to most airline snacks. Throw in some whole-grain cereal for the next morning and skip the pastry-laden continental breakfast bar. Restock for the return trip. "Buy fresh or dried fruit and trail mix," says Men's Health advisor David Katz, M.D., M.P.H., director of prevention research at Yale University and author of The Way to Eat. "These are easy to find in every airport."

Make do -- even if there's no gym. Use your body weight. Every other morning, do four sets of as many pushups as you can with 60 seconds of rest after each set, followed by four sets of as many body-weight squats as you can do (go all the way down, until the fronts of your thighs are parallel to the floor) with 60 seconds' rest between sets, Tuley says. Follow this up with a brisk 20-minute walk.

Pack wisely. There's no need to pack three T-shirts and pairs of shorts for your workouts. Just reuse your workout clothes for a couple of days. Then, when it's time to pack, treat them like toxic waste. "Use both of the plastic laundry bags available in every hotel closet, double wrap, and stuff the bundle in a suitable corner of your garment bag," Dr. Katz says. By cutting down on clothes, you might have extra space in your luggage for a resistance band you can use in your room. We like the J.C. Travel Band from performbetter.com.

Manage your expense-account meals. Eat a healthy mini meal, like a bowl of soup from room service, before you go out to meet clients. Then, while your colleagues are busy letting the foie gras fall where it may, you'll be free to seal the deal and earn the rewards. "You can be more charming and effective if your mouth is not constantly full of food," says Dr. Katz

They X-rayed His Brain, and Found Nothing

No, really. It's not the old joke.

There's a guy in France, 44, married, father of two, works as a civil servant, who has practically no brain but lives a normal life.

We'll pause while you make your own joke: "And his name is [insert boss's name]."

The man in question was complaining of weakness in his leg. Docs took his history, learned he had had a shunt in his brain as a child to drain off water on the brain. It was removed at age 14.

So they took a CT scan and an MRI, and found that almost his entire skull was filled with fluid, not brains.

There was just a thin sheet of actual brain tissue.

The guy's IQ is 75, well below average but not considered retarded.

Ignite Your Metabolism

Any man can tell you: Dropping a few pounds is one thing; becoming Brad Pitt-in-Fight Club lean is quite another. Which is why you'll never mistake Jared Fogle for Tyler Durden. After all, if torching that last bit of belly flab were as easy as eating 6-inch sandwiches, the Subway guy would surely be sporting a six-pack by now.

The fact is, the closer you are to achieving legendary leanness, the more stubborn your fat stores become. It's really self-preservation: Your body is designed to protect your fuel reserves from running too low, just in case food becomes scarce. And while that might have been a handy biological feature in the Paleolithic age, it's hardly necessary in 21st-century America. The secret to disabling this? Igniting your metabolism.

By learning how to fire up your body's internal furnace with exercise, you can accelerate fat loss and finish off your gut for good--revealing the chiseled muscles hidden beneath. All it takes is a little knowledge, coupled with a steady dose of physical effort. We provide the first half of that formula here; your charge is to handle the second.
How to Lose the Last 10

No matter what exercise you choose, there's only so much fat you can burn during, say, a 30-minute workout. And research shows that the better trained you become, the more your body's "exercise efficiency" improves -- meaning the same amount of activity burns fewer calories as time goes by. For instance, University of California at Berkeley scientists determined that to avoid age-related weight gain, avid runners need to boost their weekly mileage by 1.7 miles every year.

So to lose the last 10 pounds, you have to think beyond how much fat you burn during your workout. Instead, focus on the amount you burn during the other 23 hours and 30 minutes of your day -- while you're sitting at your desk, lounging in front of the television, and lying in bed sleeping. And to achieve this benefit, you need to hit the weights and do interval sprints. By knowing the right combination of sets, repetitions, rest periods, and exercises and the best method of cardio, you can create a workout that not only burns as many calories as a 4-mile jog, but, unlike that jog, also unleashes a flood of fat-burning hormones that stoke your metabolism for hours after you exercise. The result: Your body's fat-burning furnace runs on high all day long, even when you're sitting on the couch. Here's how to build the perfect metabolism-boosting workout plan, step-by-step.

Do Eight to 15 Repetitions of Each Set

Doing your one-repetition max may make you feel like a big man, but if your goal is not looking like one, then you're better off pumping out more reps. Research shows that performing sets of eight to 15 repetitions stimulates the greatest increase in fat-burning hormones, compared with doing a greater or fewer number of repetitions.

The one caveat is that you have to use a weight that provides an adequate challenge. For instance, doing eight repetitions with a weight you can lift 15 times won't be very effective. After all, it's only about 50 percent of the work your muscles are actually capable of performing. Instead, you want to give between 90 and 100 percent of your full effort for any given repetition range. A good way to gauge how you're doing: If you start to struggle by your last repetition, you'll know that you're in the ballpark.

Perform Two to Four Sets of Each Exercise

Turns out, it doesn't take much weight work to rev up your metabolism. Ball State University researchers discovered that fat-burning hormones increase when you complete just one set of an exercise.

And while doing more sets boosts your hormone levels to an even greater extent, there is a cutoff: In a recent study, Greek scientists determined that there is no difference between doing four sets and six sets of each exercise. So consider two to four to be the optimal number of sets for speeding fat loss, depending on your current level of fitness. For example, you'll want to use the low side of this recommendation when you're just starting out, and increase your number of sets as you become better conditioned. After all, losing weight by losing your lunch is never the goal. (For a complete workout that combines all the metabolism-boosting principles we're outlining in this story, see "Your Six-Pack Plan" on page four.)

Rest No Longer than 75 Seconds Between Sets

Look around any gym and you'll find that rest periods are usually dictated by how chatty a man's workout partner is. But by closely adhering to specific rest periods of no longer than 75 seconds, you can speed fat loss. Here's how it works: Doing sets of eight to 15 repetitions results in the accumulation of a chemical called lactate in your bloodstream. And high lactate levels are associated with an increase in the release of fat-burning hormones. However, resting too long between sets allows the oxygen you breathe to help clear the lactate from your bloodstream. Keep your recovery time short, though, and you'll keep your blood levels of lactate -- and fat-burning hormones -- high. That means more fat is burned while you rest.

Work Your Entire Body

How much you elevate your metabolism after your workout is directly related to the amount of muscle you activate at any one time. So you'll want to focus on movements that work multiple muscles, as opposed to those that attempt to isolate muscle groups. For instance, you'll experience a much greater boost in metabolism by performing 10 repetitions of the squat, compared with 10 repetitions of an isolation exercise, such as the biceps curl.

In addition, by training your whole body each session, you'll work the most muscle possible. A University of Wisconsin study found that when men performed a full-body workout involving just three big-muscle exercises -- the bench press, power clean, and squat -- their metabolisms were elevated for 39 hours afterward. What's more, they also burned a greater percentage of their calories from fat during this time, compared with men who didn't do a total-body workout. The take-home message is clear: Complete an intense full-body weight workout 3 days a week, resting a day between sessions, and you'll keep your metabolism humming along in a much higher gear at all times.

Alternate Between Two Exercises

Why spend more time in the gym than you need to? Each time you do a set of an exercise, rest, then follow with a set that works muscles that weren't involved in the previous movement, and rest again. For example, you might pair an upper-body exercise with a lower-body move, or an exercise that works your chest muscles with one that hits your back. Once you've done one set of each exercise, repeat the process until you've completed all the planned sets of both movements. This method is called "alternating sets" and allows one group of muscles to rest while another group works, and vice versa. The benefit? You can limit your rest periods, which will keep your lactate levels high while giving specific muscles more time to recover between sets. It's a strategy that helps offset fatigue and ensures you give your best effort to each set.

Monitor Your Lifting Tempo

Remember, your goal is to work your muscles as hard as possible on each repetition of each set. And that means you need to control the speed at which you raise and lower the weight. By performing an exercise too fast -- for instance, lowering your body quickly and "bouncing" up from a squat -- you take some of the stress off your muscles and place it on your tendons. The trouble is, stressing your tendons doesn't boost your metabolism the same way that challenging your muscles does. (At least not that scientists know of yet.)

As a general rule, try to take 3 seconds to lower the weight, and then pause for a second before lifting it. This helps eliminate the elastic energy that allows you to bounce, forcing your muscles to work their hardest on every repetition.

Skip the Long Runs

Sure, aerobic exercise burns calories. However, if you're already dieting -- and you'd better be if you want to see your abs -- studies show that distance running does little to further enhance fat loss. Most likely this is because aerobic exercise doesn't boost your metabolism after your workout. But that doesn't mean cardio can't help: High-intensity intervals -- such as short sprints of 30 seconds or more, interspersed with a slow jog -- are great for accelerating fat loss. Why? Because they're similar to weight training. After all, a 200-meter sprint challenges your lower-body muscles hard for 30 seconds or more, just like a set of eight repetitions of the squat. So by doing a few intervals on the days you don't lift weights, you can spike your metabolism even higher.

Your Six-Pack Plan

Build muscle and lose fat with this 4-week training program
The Weight Workout

Alternate between weight workout A and weight workout B, 3 days a week, resting at least a day between sessions.

Perform each pair of exercises as alternating sets. That is, do one set of the first exercise, rest for the prescribed amount of time, then do one set of the second exercise, and rest again. Repeat until you've performed all the recommended sets.

Note that the sets, repetitions, and amount you rest between sets change from week to week.

Workout A

1. Split squat + barbell lunge

2. Romanian deadlift + standing dumbbell press

3. Dumbbell bench press + chinup

Workout B

1. Front squat + close-grip chinup

2. Dumbbell stepup + barbell bench press

3. Standing barbell shoulder press + dumbbell face pull

Week Sets Reps Rest
1 2 15 75
2 2 15 60
3 3 12 75
4 3 12 60
The Interval Workout

Alternate between interval workout A and interval workout B, 2 days a week, on the days between your weight workouts.

To perform the intervals, run or cycle at the fastest pace you can maintain for the duration of the sprint time. Then slow down to a pace that's about 30 percent of your full effort for the "recovery time."

Repeat until you've completed all the prescribed intervals for each workout.

Workout A
Week Intervals Sprint Time Recovery Time
1-2 4 30 seconds 90 seconds
3-4 6 30 seconds 90 seconds

Workout B

Week Intervals Sprint Time Recovery Time
1-2 3 60 seconds 180 seconds
3-4 5 60 seconds 180 seconds

Split Squat

Rest a barbell on your trapezoids and stand with one foot 2 and a half to 3 feet in fron of the other, each in line with its corresponding buttock. Keep your upper body erect as you descend until the top of your front thigh is parallel to the ground. Pause, then press back up to the starting position.

Romanian Deadlift

Stand holding a dumbbell in each hand (palms facing your thighs). Keeping your knees slightly bent and your back naturally arched, push your hips back and lower the weights until they’re just below your knees. Then push yourself back up.

Dumbbell Bench Press

Grab a pair of dumbbells and lie on your back on a bench or Swiss ball. Hold the dumbbells at arm's length above your chest. (If you don't have a bench or Swiss ball, do the exercise lying on the floor.) Lower the dumbbells to your chest, then press the weights back up. (Without a bench or Swiss ball: Lower the dumbbells until your upper arms touch the floor. Then press the weights back to the starting position.)

Front Squat

Grab a pair of dumbbells so that your palms are facing each other and rest the ends on the meatiest part of your shoulders (not your collarbone). Your upper arms should be parallel to the floor. Slowly lower your body as if you were sitting back into a chair, keeping your back in its natural alignment and your lower legs nearly perpendicular to the floor. When your upper thighs are parallel to the floor, pause, and then return to the starting position.but having the weight closer to the floor makes it easier to balance throughout the lift.

Dumbbell Stepup

Holding a pair of dumbbells at your side, stand facing a step or bench. Place one foot on step and push down through your heel to lift your other leg up to the step. Return to the starting position and finish a set of 12 to 15 reps with one leg before switching legs and repeating the exercise.

Barbell Bench Press

Keep doing pushups in week 2, but add this. Do three sets of 12 repetitions to improve chest strength. Lie back on a bench with your feet flat on the floor. Remove the bar from the uprights using an overhand grip (palms facing away from you), your hands slightly wider than shoulder-width apart. Slowly lower the bar to your chest, just below the nipples. Pause, then press the weight back up until your arms are straight again.

Standing Barbell Shoulder Press

Grab a barbell with a shoulder-width, overhand grip. Stand holding the barbell in front of you at shoulder level, your feet shoulder-width apart and knees slightly bent. Push the weight straight overhead, leaning your head back slightly but keeping your torso upright. Pause, then slowly lower the bar to the starting position.

Beach body exercise

Perform these moves in order, resting only as long as it takes to set up between exercises. Then break for 30 seconds and repeat the circuit once or twice. Rest a day between sessions, but stay active outside the gym.
Stair Shuttle

Stand at the bottom of a staircase. Place one foot on the first step, with your opposite arm slightly bent in front of you and your other arm behind your torso and slightly bent, as if you're ready to sprint up the staircase. Begin switching your feet and arms so you're sprinting in place. Go as fast as you can for 30 seconds.
Crab-Walk Pushup

Assume the classic pushup position. Perform a pushup, then squeeze your abs forcefully and slide your left leg and left arm out to the side as far as possible. Do another pushup, then bring your right arm and leg over so you're back in the starting position. That's one repetition. Do two or three reps in each direction.
Agility Run

Place three cones or small objects 5 yards apart in a straight line. The first marker is your starting point. Sprint to the nearest cone and back. Then sprint to the farthest cone and back. That's one repetition. Rest 10 seconds and repeat for five reps. Mix it up to include backpedals, side shuffles, and skips.
Interrupted Pullups

With an overhand grip, place your hands slightly more than shoulder-width apart on a bar. Pull your chin over the bar, then lower slowly. Perform two or three pullups, then rest for 10 seconds. Continue this sequence until you can no longer complete two pullups.

Exercises for abs

ROLLBACK

Sit with your knees bent and your heels on the floor. Keep your torso upright, shoulders back, and arms extended forward, parallel to the floor [A]. Inhale while keeping your belly pulled in. Roll backward, rounding your spine while you hold your chin to your chest. Stop two-thirds of the way to the floor [B]. Exhale and return to the starting position. As you gain strength, roll back closer to the floor.

LEG-LIFT PUSHUP

Get into the down position of a pushup, your hands in line with your shoulders, about 6 inches away from your body. Set your feet hip-width apart. Push up by straightening your arms. Then raise your left leg as high as you can [A]. Keep your leg raised while you perform a normal pushup by lowering your chest to the floor [B]. Keep your back flat and your body rigid. Switch legs on each repetition.

Lose That Gut

When doing crunches and all their variations, you spend a lot of time contemplating your belly. If it's rounder than it oughtta be, try these lean tactics:

Eat Lean. You want a flat stomach? Watch what goes into it. Don't worry, pal, we're not telling you to live on alfalfa sprouts and granola. Most guys can get away with making little changes in their diet. Cut down on fatty toppings like mayo, butter, sour cream and salad dressing. Cut back on cheese and fatty red meats. Graze rather than gorge: eating four to six small meals a day instead of three big ones helps your body burn fuel more efficiently.

Exercise Aerobically. Cycling, rowing, running, whatever -- it's your call. Anything that gets your heart pumping will burn away your blubber. Hit it three days a week for 20-30 minutes to start. And if you can, work out before the dinner bell. Research suggests that a pre-dinner workout is an excellent appetite suppressor.

Relax. When stress hits, one of the first things your body does is crank up its production of adrenaline. This causes fat cells from all over your body to release their stored fat into your bloodstream, so you can burn it and use the calories to ecscape or fight off whatever it is that's giving you the heebee-jeebies. But your stress is probably caused by your boss, your kids or the IRS, so all that newly-released fat goes unused.

What happens next, experts believe, is that the fat is taken out of the bloodstream again -- only this time it's stored preferentially around your belly. (You're probably getting stressed just reading this.) So do whatever you can to de-stress. Take up a hobby that will help you unwind. Take time throughout the day to stretch and breathe deeply. Create a simple after-work ritual -- changing clothes, sorting through the day's mail, or just staring at the wall for a few minutes -- that will cue your body that it's time to decompress.

Club 33 disney secret club

Club 33 is located in the disneyland but it wasnt feature in any of the maps. Club 33 members enjoy access to the club's exclusive restaurant and full bar. It is the only location within Disneyland to offer alcoholic beverages, though Disneyland has a park wide liquor license and has set up bars throughout the park for private events.

Club 33 members are privileged with access to the park 365 days a year. Club 33 offers individual and corporate memberships. In June 2007, Bloomberg News reported that the waiting list to join the club was estimated at nine years. The Los Angeles Times reported that the nine-year waiting list was capped at 1,000 names, with subsequent requests receiving a form letter stating "due to overwhelming demand," Club 33 is not adding names to the list.

Members at any level are allowed to make reservations 90 days in advance. Members at any level can make guest reservations 60 days in advance.

History

There are various origins that have been claimed for the name "Club 33." One says that Club 33 was named for Disneyland's 33 sponsors at the time, one of which was Chevron. Another explanation is that Walt Disney chose the name simply because he liked the way that "33" looked. Another, given by a Club 33 employee, says that since Walt wanted to serve liquor in the Club he had to obtain a liquor license - which requires a full street address. Walt, wanting to protect Disneyland's alcohol-free status, didn't want to use the park's Harbor Boulevard address, so he ordered that all the buildings in New Orleans Square (then under construction) be given addresses. According to the employee, "33" was chosen because Walt's lucky number was 3. And one explanation, arguably the most common, is that "33" when turned on its side bears similarity to two letter "M"s, as would stand for "Mickey Mouse." In actuality, it was simply the address assigned to the door by chance.

When Walt Disney was working with various corporate promoters for his attractions at the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, he noted to himself of the various "VIP Lounges" made as a novelty for the corporate elite. This gave him the idea that culminated in Club 33. When the design of New Orleans Square was planned, this special area for corporate sponsors and VIPs was included in it. Disney hired Hollywood set director Emil Kuri to design the facility. Club 33 opened in May 1967, five months after Disney's death.

Club 33 originally was intended for the use of Disneyland's Corporate sponsors and other industry VIPs. After Disney's death, Club 33 was opened up to individual members also.

[edit] Interior

To enter Club 33, a guest must press a buzzer on an intercom concealed by a hidden panel in the doorway. A receptionist will ask for their name over the intercom and, if access is granted, open the door to a small, ornate lobby. Guests have the option of going to the dining level via an antique-style glass lift. The lift is an exact replica of one Disney saw and fell in love with during a vacation in Paris, but the owner of the original refused to sell. Undaunted, Disney sent a team of engineers to the Parisian hotel to take exact measurements for use in the creation of a replica; even a sample of the original finish was taken so that it could be duplicated. A spiral staircase to the second level wraps around the lift.

The second level has two dining rooms. One room has dark wood paneling; the other room is more formal but has a lighter environment.

Once at the dining level, guests can view antique furniture pieces collected by Lillian Disney. Walt Disney also handpicked much of the Victorian bric-a-brac in New Orleans antique stores, according to club manager Michael Bracco.

The club is also furnished with props from Disney films. There is a fully functional glass telephone booth just off the lift that was used in The Happiest Millionaire and an ornate walnut table with white marble top that was used in Mary Poppins. A video capture from the film on display atop the table shows actors Karen Dotrice, Matthew Garber and David Tomlinson standing immediately to its left. A newly-installed bar prepares drinks to order for members and their guests.

A harpsichord which was rumored to have been an antique was in fact custom-built for Lillian Disney specifically for use in Club 33. The underside of the lid features a Renaissance-style painting that was actually done by Disney artists. Elton John has played this harpsichord, Bracco told Bloomberg News, and it can be played by anyone who sits down at it.

Walt Disney also wanted to make use of Audio-Animatronic technology within Club 33. Microphones in overhead lighting fixtures would pick up the sounds of normal conversation while an operator would respond via the characters. Though the system was never fully implemented, it was at least partially installed and remains so to this day. An Audio-Animatronic condor is perched in one corner of the club's "Trophy Room." The microphones remain in the room's lighting fixtures and are clearly visible at the bottom of each. The animal trophies (Walt inherited them from a friend), for which the room was named, have been removed by Disney family members. Photos of the room with the trophies still installed can be seen on the walls now. Currently this room is known as the "Disney Room."

Disneyland guests participating in the "Walk In Walt's Footsteps" tour are provided entrance to the lobby of Club 33. The tour guide will provide a brief history of the club and explain some of the artifacts in the lobby. The tour members are allowed to be photographed in the lift but are not allowed upstairs.

July horoscope for Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

It's your birthday - your favorite time of the year. You have every reason to be optimistic about your year to come, dear Cancer. Life will be brighter than it's been in a long time, for stubborn planetary placements that have held you down are about to move on. You've been through many cosmic storms, particularly in regard to money, but your coming birthday year will be a big improvement over ones past.

There will be two planetary aspects that will bring you reason to rejoice. First, Saturn, the planet that calls for sacrifice and hard work, often against all odds, will finally move out of your house of income on September 2. From then on, your financial tests will be noticeably reduced and may even possibly melt away altogether. Saturn was there to teach you the value of money and how to manage it in the future - the better you learned these lessons, the better position you will be when Saturn returns to this same position in 2034, a very long time from now! Most people report a much easier experience the second time, mainly because Saturn rules maturity, so as we mature, Saturn has less to show us. You will carry the lessons that you learned about money over the past two years (since Saturn arrived, July 2005) for at least three decades, if not forever.

The other big planetary event to look forward to is the coming arrival of Mars to Cancer on September 28, 2007. This is a once in two-year treat that usually lasts seven weeks, but Mars will do something very unusual this year by planning a stay that will extend to May 9, 2008! Everyone wants Mars in their sign, for having the Red Planet in your corner implies you'll be assertively starting a whole new chapter in your life. The overture on your new chapter will begin now at the new moon July 14 (more about that in a minute), but your life will really get rolling in late September or early October when Mars enters your sign. At that time you will be ready to put into place the plans you're making now.

This month, two heavenly bodies will work like loving little relatives to make sure your birthday month is extra special: Mars, now in Taurus, will zoom through your people / events sector, ensuring that you'll see many more friends than usual. Prepare for a very social time!

Mercury has been retrograde in Cancer since last month, but will normalize by turning to direct speed on July 9. Since Mercury has been in Cancer, this particular retrograde period had to have made you more frustrated than usual. All sorts of delays, false starts, mishaps, and redos are often necessary. It is never wise to buy electronics when Mercury is out of phase, for Mercury rules moving parts. Do yourself a favor: If you have to buy a new, expensive item (particularly if it's an electronic), wait until July 14 or beyond.

Prior to July 14, while Mercury is still in retrograde, you will have a chance this month to fix something that was not working properly. This could be a relationship, or something physical, like a computer, but in either case, you will have the time to see if you can make it "click" again the way it should. While the first two weeks are a good time to look back, the beginning of July won't be the right time to take decisive steps forward. Wait, instead, until on or just after the new moon in Cancer, July 14.

July 14 will be an extra special day, for it marks the new moon in Cancer. From that point on, you will go from waiting to acting quickly. It will be time to push your dearest plans forward with all your might - you will have two weeks in which to do so, but the first week will be the more powerful of the two. That means July 14 - 21 will be your strongest. Prior to that, you won't have all the planetary support you need to get things done your way, but by mid-month, you will.

We only get one new moon a year in our own sign, and that occurs always during birthday month. Ancient astrologers always wrote that the birthday new moon has the power to materialize wishes that are near and dear. Choose the one desire that is most important to you. Set your cell phone alarm for this date - July 14 - and be sure to make an initiation in the days that follow.

Working with the flow of the universe is the reason we study astrology. It's the best tool you'll ever get for planning, for you can ensure the most success by anticipating upcoming conditions - looking at the aspects of your birthday new moon. What you do just after that new moon appears will affect you for the full year ahead. It's that important. Incredibly, this year, the moon will be in elegant angle to Uranus, planet of unexpected developments and lucky breaks. You may be able to take a trip, and you may also find that your finances improve. If your birthday falls within five days of this date, July 14 (or if you have planets in Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio at 22 degrees), you will enjoy a double dip of luck.

As mentioned earlier, your financial situation has probably frustrated you since July 2005, mainly because Saturn has asked you to get by on less. You likely discovered it was nearly impossible to get a decent raise or to even be paid fairly, as just about every employer seemed tightfisted and unwilling to grant you the fees you felt you deserved. You clearly aren't comfortable with your cash flow.

At the full moon July 29, you might find an entry point, a way to earn more spending money. Good timing. If you act immediately (and truly, you won't have more than a couple of days on either side of the full moon), there's a good chance you could find a pipeline of money. Although you will likely earn your cash, or receive money someone owes you, at the same time you might ALSO get a windfall given to you, perhaps as a commission, belated birthday gift, scholarship, or even a prize that you would win on the radio or Internet! (This full moon is in Aquarius, ruling digital forms.) There are many ways money may come to you, but the point is, be cheerful! You can find money if you look for it!

Now let's turn to love and your emotional life.

While money (rather than love), and taking steps to launch your own desires and projects, will take the center of your attention in July (especially in the second half), you still will have a chance to relax and have fun.

If you are attached, then July 1 should be a thrilling time when your other half may confess deepening feelings for you. You may be taken completely by surprise by a confession of love. This lovely development is due to the full moon that fell only days prior to the start of July, on June 30. That full moon will still exert a strong influence in July's first four days. Full moons bring inner feelings out in the open - the person you love will fully share his or her feelings with you. What you decide to do next will be up to you.

If you're single, the fact that Mars will be intent on putting you in the center of so much social action is a stroke of luck. It suggests that friends and new people that you meet with this month will want to help by offering introductions. Let them. Sometimes we need to ask for what we need in life - no harm in that!

One of your favorite days may turn out to be July 11, when Uranus and the Sun join forces to make this a day filled with adventure and all sorts of exciting developments. If your birthday falls near this date, you'll be doubly lucky!

You may travel with a friend and cook up plenty of action on one of July's best days for a quick "Let's go!" overnight trip, July 20. Thanks to the interplay of Mars and Uranus, you'll have an amazing time together. Is July 20 your birthday, or close to this date? Your year will be filled with surprises galore!

Most romantic evenings: July 1, 4 - 5, 8 - 9, 11, 13 - 14. 17, 20, 22, and 28 - 30

If a real estate deal doesn't quite work out at this time, don't worry about it. Blame Venus retrograde, the planet that rules your house of home. You'd be likely to change your mind later anyway. If you need to buy furniture or other pricey things for home, do so from July 14 to 23, no later.

Before Venus settles down for a nap on July 29, schedule a consultation about your looks from a hair stylist, wardrobe consultant, or other image professional. This month's new moon will put you in the right mood to experiment. You seem tired of your current look, so be brave and change it for your birthday year ahead.

Some extra chocolates:

Promise your love forever: July 1 Ask for payment due: July 29 - 31 Travel on a whim: July 11, 20

Summary:

A close relationship will proceed really well now and it matters not whether you've dated this person ten minutes or ten years. When things between two people begin to truly click, as they will at the start of July, it will be as through you can read one another's mind. If you've known each another for some time and are ready for a commitment, your partner will surprise you by being ready, too. Wait until well after Mercury turns direct on July 9 to promise your heart.

If you want to get married later in the year, consider December 23, the luckiest day of the year, when Jupiter and the Sun will merge energies. Jupiter will be in your marriage house for the first time in 12 years - vavoom! If this December is too soon, then consider being wed on December 27, 2008, which will be the new moon in your marriage sector.

Now, let's return to July! If you are already married or in an established relationship, you will find that in July you'll be in rare sync. Consider drawing up the blueprints for a new goal to work on together.

If you have no one and you have no idea what I am talking about, then you may be using this glorious full moon energy so prevalent in the first three days of July for setting up a new business alliance. Any sort of twosome collaboration will be fortunate for you, dear Cancer, and can even be used if you need to choose a new roommate.

If you are forming a business partnership or are about to agree to hire a manager or representative in business, wait until Mercury turns direct. Do so from July 14 onward (any day that week would be fine).

During the rest of the month, with Mars in gentle Taurus, you'll be in contact with many friends who will have ideas to share and places to take you. Once you start venturing out with them, it will be like nibbling on fine chocolate - hard to resist! (This month, there will be no reason not to!) It's birthday month, so your pals will want to celebrate with you. Plan to gather them all together on one of your happiest dates, when Mars and Uranus will bring lots of surprises, July 20.

You'll start to see your confidence soar after the new moon in Cancer, July 14. Actions you assumed were too big to tackle and beyond your ability will suddenly seem possible.

Travel could come up rather suddenly on July 11 or 20. When it does, shake off your need to plan every detail and be spontaneous. Sometimes life won't wait for all those plans and details. This could be one of those times.

A plan for a rental or purchase of real estate may not work out in the days surrounding July 28. If so, be glad - you may have inadvertently dodged a bullet. You will find something infinitely better. On that date, Venus will begin to retrograde, not to return to normal until September 8. Resume your plan then, when in America it will be after Labor Day in early September.

Financials will need tending on the full moon, July 29. On or near this date, it's time to restack the cards in your favor. Call your cell phone provider, credit card company, mortgage broker, ex-husband, or anyone else in your life that you feel a need to negotiate with for better terms. You may earn a commission, get a generous birthday gift, finalize a divorce settlement, finally be paid child support, or win a court decision. Expect near-miraculous developments that will turn the tables in your favor, very possibly now but if not, certainly within a few months.

Thierry Henry arsenal all time great

Henry - The most difficult decision of my life

Arsenal Football Club today gave Thierry Henry the opportunity to speak to Arsenal supporters about his departure from the Club. What follows is the unedited transcript of the interview. The views expressed by Thierry Henry are not necessarily representative of Arsenal Football Club or its employees.

Thierry you have left Arsenal, can you tell the supporters your reasons for going?

“I have said it so many times. Before Mr Dein left, for whatever reason, I went to the boss and said I don’t want to leave. There had been a lot of speculation about me and I assured him that I did not want to leave. But after Mr Dein left that unsettled the team and the boss. Especially as at the moment he has not committed himself to the club. He said he will see out his contract but you cannot be sure if he is going to go or stay [at the end of next season]. Hopefully he is going to stay but I need to be certain and reassured of that. Everybody knows I am 30. The boss being unsettled, Mr Dein going, it did unsettle me a bit. After that I had thoughts of leaving the club.

“It is a difficult day for me to come here at Emirates Stadium and talk about this. But I want to come here explain why to the fans. I want to be certain of where the club was going and reassured in a way. I wasn’t and I have chosen to go."

How long did the decision take and how agonising was it?

“It was a long one but nobody knew what was happening to be honest. We were hearing some stuff in the press about what happened and what did not happen so you have to make your own mind up. It was the most difficult decision of my life.

“Beating the record of Wrighty, putting it at 226, playing for Arsenal, loving the club. It was and will remain the most difficult decision of my life. I will always love the club.”

Arsène Wenger has always said ‘Arsenal will be club of my life’ because he has spent the prime of his career here. Is that true for you too?

"I don’t know if I will play eight years more or where the future is so yes. I had a special relationship with the fans with the boss, Mr Dein and everybody who was attached to Arsenal. Arsenal will always be in my heart, my blood, my head. Everybody will. The press office, the chef, the girls at the training ground, the guys who made the pitch perfect at the training ground and at Emirates, the guys at stadium who help us perform at our best. I will miss everybody. The Arsenal fans who told me to step up my game or to carry on. It will be huge miss for me. I will take everybody in my head and my heart. Everybody who I trained with a worked with. Especially the boss and Mr Dein and the Arsenal fans who have been more than tremendous to me. It was unreal at times.

“I looked the schedule and already know when we, I mean you, are playing against Tottenham. I did it as a reflex. When fixtures came out I looked for Tottenham and I know it is pretty early on. When they play I will be watching and trying to be the first to know the result even though I know the fans will beat me. It is really special coming here [to Emirates Stadium] to talk about it. I will always have Arsenal in my blood I know some people will never accept the decision I just want to say to the fans that I always gave 100 per cent. Even the last year when I was injured I tried to perform. It was not the 30 goals you were used to but it was 17 games in the League and scored 10 so that was not a bad ratio. It was all about the heart and the commitment to win for Arsenal. I always, always, always, always gave 100 per cent.”

Let’s look back, what was your best goal?

“They were all amazing for me. I think I scored some good goals at Highbury and away but the one that stands out was my second against Liverpool when we went unbeaten in the League. I never heard Highbury going crazy like that. I thought the place was going to collapse and you could tell by my celebration that it was the right time and place to score that goal. I went a bit mental. The place was just too loud. Scoring goals for Arsenal gave me goosebumps but that was a stand-out goal and kept us in the title race. We stayed there until the end.”

Your best moment?

“I would say winning the League unbeaten but one that would top that is my last goal at Highbury when I kissed the ground. It was a special moment for me. But as well this particular day is one of the saddest of my career, leaving Highbury. I can’t say it was the best moment but it was a particular moment. I am still shaking talking about it now.”

The best Arsenal side you have played in?

“Difficult to say, some people came here and did not win anything but that does not mean they were not great players. If I go with the team that stayed unbeaten then that means I have to leave out David Seaman and a load of other players. But in terms of the results then staying unbeaten is something rather amazing. But then with the guys before, we had won the Double. Every time I wore an Arsenal shirt it was just amazing. When I stepped on that pitch even where I was not performing well whoever was playing with me at the time was the right guy for me."

As for the fans was there any moment that sums them up?

“I would say when we lost the Champions League Final against Barcelona in Paris. They all stayed afterwards and clapped us. That was a very special moment for the team. It is easy to stay there and cheer when you win but it is hard to clap your guys when you have just lost one of the titles you were waiting for.

“But as well I would say the first time I arrived here and people were giving me stick. The fans were always behind me and cool with me. I could go through whole eight years, it was crazy. I have had a really special relationship with them.”

How has Thierry Henry and Arsenal changed in the last eight years?

“I would like to think that when people talk about Arsenal they see the Boss has brought the ‘Arsenal touch’ and the ‘Arsenal way’, and I’m truly proud of being one of those guys to have helped play the way we have been. And I am sure it will carry on, because Arsenal was playing like that before me and they will be playing like that after me.

“Arsenal is a club that is now well known throughout Europe and that’s all down to the Boss. Also, the fans, they are never in trouble with fighting or disrespectful to other fans. The Arsenal fans have always made us proud.

“From a personal point of view, at Arsenal I have really become a man. This is thanks to the Boss, thanks to all the players, thanks to all the facilities at the Club and as I said before, thanks to all the people who made my life easier here, they have made me a man.”

Turning to the future of the Club, if you read the media at the moment it’s 'crisis at Arsenal' and 'the walls of Emirates Stadium are coming down'. Surely that’s not true, the players and the set-up are far too good?

“The set-up and the facilities are far too good and we still have a lot of the main people who are staying. As I have said so many times, the team here is growing and there is some amazing talent here and I do think this is the right time for Robin van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner who is coming back from Birmingham, to shine. Hopefully they will do it. As soon as you know they can do it, they will forget about me, that’s the way it is.

“When Patrick left everyone was devastated, including me and then after that a little guy came around called Cesc Fabregas and, although I didn’t agree with it, everyone started saying ‘who needs Patrick Vieira?’ For me the guys we have here are amazing, but you always need Patrick Vieira.

“I don’t believe what everybody is saying about the Club collapsing, having a lack of players and everyone leaving. I think it is untrue. Cesc Fabregas is a world class player, Robin van Persie is a world class player, hopefully Adebayor will become a world class player, Tomas Rosicky is a world class player, Jens Lehmann is a world class player, Toure and Gallas are world class players. You can go through the whole squad like that.

“As I said to you, I will now become now an Arsenal fan and will be looking at every result and I’m sure the team will be successful.”

How did you tell the Boss you wanted to go?

“To be honest, I have a great relationship with the Boss. I’ve told you the reasons why I wanted to go and I told him exactly the same reasons. That’s how it is, I talked to the Boss about private stuff and non-private stuff. A bit of everything.

“But as I said to you, today is a very sad day for me. Whatever people are going to talk or read or see into it, it is a very sad for me.

“One thing that I forgot to say earlier was about the pride to play for the shirt and the team. In France we don’t have that. When I was young I used to support Bordeaux, but when they lost I went to support Marseille. But here you really learn the importance and the value of the shirt and the club. Arsenal is like that, an English family.

“Although I have had disagreements with the press over here, they have been tremendous to me, keeping me on my toes. But everyone has been great, the fans, playing away, getting booed, getting cheered, getting standing ovations. I will always, always remember that. And Arsenal gave me that, the way we were playing, getting standing ovations from away fans was just out of this world. It’s hard to understand because in France they are just not like that. If you play well at home [in France] you get a standing ovation, if you play well away from home, well, you play well away from home, that’s it.

“Getting a standing ovation away from home with Arsenal is something I will never forget, because you know a lot of people are really appreciating what you are doing as a team and it’s outstanding.

“As I have said before, I just want to thank everyone at the Club, the girls who work at the training ground, the girls who wash the kits, the masseurs, the staff at the Club, the staff at the stadium, the staff who work on the pitch at the stadium, the staff who work on the pitches at the training ground, the press office, the coach driver, everybody. Everybody here, I would just like to thank everybody here.

“Also to all the teams I have played against here, all the battles I have had against the players here, some of the fans away, the press and the refs, it’s been a great time. Everyone has just made it special and I would just like to thank everybody, but especially to all the people involved at Arsenal.

“It’s important to me to come to the Club today and say something properly because the fans have given me so much and I hope I gave a lot back to them. I want to keep my box here and I want to come back and watch some games, if they let me in! But it’s been a very weird day.”

Arsène Wenger has said he will stay on at least until his contract finishes next summer. We hope he stays on. If he does would you regret your decision?

“I don’t regret what I do. Playing for Arsenal was an honour for me. And I will say that until the day I die. When Patrick Vieira left the team had to move on and we came close to winning the Champions League. But this type of guy we were already missing.

“Not having Arsène around anymore — and everybody at the Club — will be ‘missing’ for me. It is a fact but it won’t be a regret. When Patrick left, I was devastated I missed the guy and I still miss the guy even though I see him with the national team. But I was devastated because he was a good guy to be around on the pitch or off the pitch. It goes beyond sport. That is why I won’t go with the regret word but more ‘missing’.

If you left Arsenal was it always going to be Barcelona. Is there some thing special about them?

“There is something special here at Arsenal too. I left Arsenal to go to Barcelona because, no disrespect to any other team, but there are only two teams in the world who play football the way I like it. That is the way the people here like it — the Arsenal way. That is how we play football here and ‘we’ play football there. If I can say that is one of the is the main reasons for Barcelona. The football they play is attractive to watch.”

Finally, your last Arsenal.com question as a Arsenal player, do you have a message for the fans?

“Well, I would to say you have been tremendous for me I really do appreciate it. I am shaking as I say this. I will always remember you. I will have you in my head and my heart. I wanted to reassure you that I always gave 100 per cent here. I know some people said some other stuff but I always gave 100 per cent. I hope you appreciate what I did here because I appreciate what you did for me. I grew as a man and became a better football player. I will always take that with me no matter what happens.

“Arsenal will be in my blood aswell as my heart. I will always, always, always remember you guys. I said I was going to be a Gunner for life and I did not lie because when you are a Gunner you will always be a Gunner. The Club is in my heart and will remain in my heart forever.”

Negotiate with an Angry Woman

TAKE CONTROL

She's furious, you're flummoxed. So defuse her anger in a way she understands: by talking it to death. "The key is building toward a discussion. It doesn't matter if it's good, bad, or ugly," says Sergeant Scottie Frier, a crisis negotiator in the Lexington County sheriff's department in South Carolina. "If you're going to end up in a crisis again with that person, you need to have built that trust."

FIND HER FUSE

Establish a perimeter. Start by detecting bluffs. A crisis situation could be just a call for attention. "Women sometimes pick fights to gauge a man's level of interest and commitment," says Nancy Fagan, author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Romance. "It might not have to do with what she's nagging about."

And don't just blame monthly mood swings. "Under the anger are usually the primary feelings of hurt or frustration," says Maryland-based sex educator Charles Miron, Ph.D. "If you dive under the anger and deal with those buried emotions, you're more likely to get a mutually positive outcome." Your telltale sign: hostages. If she's holding back on sex, this could be serious. "If there are problems in the bedroom, it's because there's anger," says Susan Sheppard, a relationship coach and the author of How to Get What You Want from Your Man Anytime.

SET THE TONE

Stow the bullhorn. "You want to set the tone, the mood, the tempo, and the agenda of the discussion," says Robert Mayer, author of How to Win Any Argument without Raising Your Voice, Losing Your Cool, or Coming to Blows. Let her vent. If she wants to explode, throw on a bomb suit. "Nobody is going to listen to logic until the emotional part has been dealt with," says Mayer.

Frier suggests saying, "I understand that you're upset, but it's hard for me to work through this if you keep screaming." That reality shock makes her assess her behavior. Use eye contact to show you're listening -- rapt, even -- and paraphrase her points to acknowledge that you're hearing what she's saying. But be careful of land mines: "In any cross-examination," says Ken Suggs, president of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, "it's important that you know the answer you're going to get."

RESOLVE THE CRISIS

Seal the deal. "Now it becomes a cooperative effort," Frier says. Let's say your position is logical and you hold the moral high ground. "If you force something on her, you're going to end up with a bitter, resentful girlfriend," says Mayer.

So cut a deal. "You want to make her feel like she's part of the process," Frier says. Ask her to offer solutions. If she makes a demand that's reasonable, work to try to gain some-thing from it. Start small. "In a hostage situation, the first thing we do is ask them to release all the hostages, knowing they'll say no," says Frier. "Then we compromise by asking them to release one. I just won because I'm going to get a hostage out, and they think they've won because they only have to give up one guy." Her emotional hostages need some air, too.

My diet

The Nutrition Tactics

1. Choose liberally from the Fat-Burning Time Zone foods. Feel free to eat any combination of these foods until you feel satisfied, but not stuffed. These "restrictions" sound too easy to work, but study after study has shown that eating this way promises more dramatic fat loss than any other approach -- without the need to count calories.

2. Consume high-quality protein at every meal. Eating protein ensures that your body always has the raw material available to build and maintain muscle, even while you lose fat.

3. Don't fear fat. Fat is crucial in helping you control the total number of calories you eat -- it makes you feel satisfied.

4. Indulge on vegetables. On average, the most successful low-carb dieters consume at least 4 servings of low-starch vegetables a day. That's almost any vegetable other than potatoes, carrots, and corn.

5. Avoid sugar and starch. Avoid bread, pasta, potatoes, beans, rice, fruit, milk, candy, regular soda, and baked goods -- as well any other foods that contain grains, flour or sugar.

These foods either raise blood sugar and insulin levels, or replenish glycogen -- all of which inhibit your body's ability to burn fat for energy.

You might be surprised to see fruit and milk on this list, but it's not because either are unhealthy -- they simply provide too many glycogen-replenishing carbs, in the form of natural sugars.

Was busily researching on tour packages for phuket. Read thru website recommendations, traveler forum and books for hour. I nv been there b4 but i expect it to be e rite place for me.

I am looking for a beach vacation so i was deciding between phuket and bali. Originally , i was planning to go bali because last year i have been to bangkok alrdy but with a hinge of regret cos me and shufen didn't went to hardrock cafe. its always our usual practice to get a hard rock souvenir from the country we visit. so i still owe her 1 trip to bankok. But i change my mind after seeing some of phuket resorts and hotel. i nv been to bali too but i expect both very similar, both offer beautiful beach, water sport and restaurant and pubs. generally speaking phuket hotel is much well build and luxurious than bali and the expenses are much cheaper. An average hotel room rate wld b 90+ in bali wherelse it cost ard 60 in phuket.

after deciding on phuket i have done a series of research which i will post on e nx update

Horoscope for cancer (June 2007)

You will be working hard as the month opens, getting projects done and delighting in checking finished items off your to-do list. While pressure will be high for the first four days of June, after that you'll be able to chill out. Soon you'll feel quite accomplished for all you have achieved and you'll be able to relax.

From the start of the month until June 25, Mars will still be brilliantly lighting your house of fame and honors, so it's very likely you'll get praise, publicity, or the opportunity to try for a top position. The whole month shines for your career, and those in authority will be much more aware of your work. Look your best because you'll be singled out, for sure. When praise or an offer for a better job comes, it'll make you feel like a million.

One day in particular should stand out for career matters, and that would be June 4. A project you turn in will have legs - and take you places! Right to the top!

Try to be as productive as possible during the first few days of June, as soon Mercury will retrograde, from June 15 to July 9. Although you may assume you have two weeks to squeeze in all that you have on your schedule, actually you don't. You will begin to feel the slowdown of an out-of-phase Mercury. I will recommend that you not formalize any new deals until the new moon in Cancer, due next month on July 16.

Mercury rules all analytical thinking, information, communication, commerce, contracts, agreements, data, research, transportation, shipping, and machines / electronics. When Mercury goes out of phase, all these areas suffer.

Your printer may suddenly start to eat paper (instead of printing it!) or your DVD-VHS player may start smoking. (Mine actually burned the old fashioned way - by fire, much to my horror - on the last Mercury retrograde.) If any parts in your electronics are wearing out, you'll know it now.

It is never wise to spend for expensive items, like a car or computer, because you are not likely to enjoy your purchase and later will wonder, "What was I thinking?"

Mercury retrogrades three times a year for three-and-a-half weeks, and this time you may feel things more directly than most, for Mercury will retrograde in Cancer.

Don't accept or start your new job when Mercury is retrograde because too many conditions will be in flux. When it comes to employment, no matter how honest your prospective boss may be, no one is fully able to anticipate how things will change during these retrograde periods. You may accept the position only to find out later that the job is nothing like the one you discussed at the interview. Try to slow the process by saying your lawyer is in court, or that you will be going on vacation. Usually the process will go slowly anyway. Contracts signed under Mercury retrograde always need to be renegotiated afterwards, if at all. (Most people never want to work with the other party again.)

Practical matters like making more money may be on your mind too in June, and if so, a meeting with a potential employer or new client on June 19 will go well and you should come out with the price you name. With Venus and generous Jupiter collaborating so beautifully, you may even be surprised by the generous increase you get. If you had already made hints that you'd like to raise your compensation or fees, you will find things easier, as Mercury in retrograde allows us to return to earlier conversations and get things settled.

An opposition of Jupiter to the Sun on June 5, and a similar opposition of Saturn to Neptune on June 25, suggest you need to find ways to work more profitably, especially if you are self-employed. You might want to start charging a separate fee for your expenses associated with the job, if you aren't doing that already, as one example. These planets will open your eyes to certain realities and give you a chance to fix them. Think of these planets as loving little relatives who are trying to help you work smarter, not harder.

The new moon, June 14, will fall in Gemini and light your twelfth house of memories, dreams, and habits - all things covered by your subconscious mind. This new moon will help you get to the root of a bad habit you've been trying to quit by addressing your motivations. Often we repeat patterns that we wish we would break but we don't know why we can't stop. This new moon will help you plumb your depths so that you can start fresh. If you feel you need a doctor, coach, friend, or relative to help you, ask - you'll get the help you need.

As you get to the end of the month, the Sun will move into Cancer, indicating that soon it will be your birthday. The Sun will give you lots of extra energy and a highly attractive sense of authority. Your health will begin to glow and you'll feel more optimistic about life - and you should! You are moving into a really positive phase, with each day brighter than the day before.

Romantically, single or attached, Venus will still be finishing up a visit to Cancer during the first four days of June, a lovely placement that won't happen again for a year. While Venus will help your love life, it will also be a good time to spiff up your appearance too to improve your "package." Once Mercury begins to retrograde on June 15 shopping won't be productive. Go at the start of June while your satisfaction factor afterward will remain high!

If you and someone special have been an "item" lately, at month's end it will be time to decide where you'd like the relationship to go next. On June 30, we will have a full moon that for you will light your relationship sector. This is nothing to be wary of, however, for on this full moon, you are likely to see highly usual, surprisingly happy developments within four days of this date.

If you were born on June 30 or within five days of this date, the effects of this full moon will be more evident and dramatic than it will be for your Cancer friends who are born on other dates.

Are you sad not to have a special someone in your life? You won't be pining for love for long! You may bond quite closely this month when you work late at the office - one coworker seems to have become quite smitten with you. This is likely to be someone you hadn't considered as a potential romantic interest but who will begin to attract your eye, especially when this person volunteers to help you get a project done. It would be hard not to have feelings for someone who has such impressive mastery over the material he or she is working on. Your boss may later send out a memo praising you and your coworker. If you both remain discreet, you'll have your cake and eat it, too!

Best date nights; June 7 - 8, 16 - 17, 21, 2 4- 26, 29 - 30

How woman judge men

Did He Dress Well for the Date?

"She's watching to see if you put some energy into your dress and grooming," says Aline Zoldbrod, Ph.D., a psychologist and sex therapist in Boston. "If you don't take the trouble to dress well for her now, she could see it as disrespectful."

Is He Depressed?

Does he stare at my breasts? Does he have any sense of humor? If you're a total loser, it pays for her to ascertain that on the first date, says Zoldbrod.

Is He Like My Ex?

Yes, we always pay for the last guy's sins. "What women want is often based on their past negative or positive experiences," says Kauffman. So when she talks about past boyfriends, heed well.

Is He Bitter About Past Relationships?

She needs full use of your closets. There's no room for baggage.
Can He Talk About Himself and Listen to Me?
She'll carry 80 percent of the conversation load. Just make sure your 20 percent is about something.

Is He Generous?

Women somehow see a correlation between leaving a 10 percent tip and having a propensity to drown kittens.

Does He Make Me Feel Understood and Appreciated?

If you can't succinctly state her values, her politics, and her ambitions, you're probably failing here. Ask more questions. Listen to the answers this time.
Is He Open to a Relationship but Not Needy?
Ace the other nine criteria here and your odds of appearing needy will edge toward nil.

Does He Keep Promises?

If you're not reliable, you're not viable, especially not for the ultimate goal of all this. . . .

Does He Have the Potential to be a Good Father?

"For long-term potential, she considers whether you have the values she wants in a man," says Jean Koehler, Ph.D., president of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. If she can't see tykes on your knee, she's wasting her time. How you interact with your own family can be a strong indicator here.

Gift ideas

10. Scrapbook

We bet there's a shoebox full of old photos of you two under her bed or a drawer full of concert tickets and cards that you've given her in the past. Maybe she even still has the napkin you first wrote your number on the night you met. She's been meaning to put all these things into a photo album, but probably hasn't gotten around to it yet. Buy a scrapbook and start to organize a book of memories for her. You can purchase the book, background paper, stickers and other supplies here. If you don't have the creativity to do it yourself, you could always send it to a professional scrapbooker to put it all together for you.

9. In-Spa-rational

Any woman loves to be pampered, and although your foot massages are incomparable, maybe you need a break from kneading her heels. Send her away to a day spa, where she can receive all-out treatment for relaxation and revitalization. The Spa Index guide to day spas and stay spas features a clickable map that you can use to locate the best day spa near you.

8. Babes in Toyland

If your lady is the nostalgic-type, this idea may score you some major brownie points. Better hope you're on speaking terms with your mother-in-law or else the plan will fail. Talk to your lady's mother to find out what her daughter's favorite toy or belonging was when she was a little girl. If you find out there was certain toy, like a vintage Barbie doll or Cabbage Patch Kid, do your best to track down the original. It may still hide in the attic. You can also search on Ebay for it (find one still in the original box), and surprise her with a blast from the blast.

7. Make it "Me" Day

Surprise her with a day dedicated to her. Get up early and take her shopping to pick out an outfit to wear for a night out on the town. Then drop her off at the salon to get her hair and nails (manicure and pedicure) done however she pleases. Foot the bill and watch her kiss your feet all month long.

6. Closet Case

Are her clothes so cramped together that her closet looks like the clearance rack at TJ Maxx? Here's a surefire way to make her feel like a princess. If the kids are finally out of the house, or you have an extra bedroom or bathroom that's hardly being used, think about turning that room into a custom closet for your woman. Whether you have three feet of space to spare or an entire room, this company lets you design your own storage for her specific needs.

5. Fly Away

You can never go wrong with planning a weekend getaway. There's something about staying in a hotel that sparks the adventuress in her. Whether you can only afford to drive in and stay in your nearest city, or you've saved up enough dough to fly her to Paris for baguettes, your lady will love the change of scenery. What are you waiting for? Search for cheap flights and hotels.

4. Jewel of the Smile

She deserves a one-of-a-kind work of art. Anyone can drive to the local jewelry store and pick out a necklace or ring, but you want to go the extra step and design a custom piece that suits her personality and style, and also fits in your price range. The Jewelry Experts can help you pick unique gemstones to couple with gold or silver contrasts to create a gorgeous heirloom that no woman other than she possesses.

Is she more interested in artwork? You can order her a custom painting. Choose a specific art theme, get a copy of a masterpiece, or send a family photo, and artists will reproduce the image in a painting. Each work is hand-painted using top quality oil paints. To receive a price quote, click on custom orders on the homepage and send an E-mail that describes your painting expectations.

3. A Stitch in Time

If your lady's anything like the average woman, odds are she's cold right now. Order her a handmade quilt to keep her snug on those cold February nights when you're not available for cuddle time. You can specify her favorite colors, or if you really want to make her cry, you can collect a bag of sentimental pieces of cloth (old baby clothes from your child's christening, birthdays, Holiday celebrations, and Halloween costumes) and find a quilter to sew a custom quilt that will last forever. She can hand it down to loved ones for decades.

2. Nookie Nights

If it's a wild night of lovin' you're after, you're going to need some props to set the sex scene. Avoid the embarrassment of walking into an adult store by shopping online. Toys in Babeland and Eden Fantasys offer everything under the sheets for all your kinky aspirations. May we suggest some massage oil and a G-spot vibrator. Add a Kama Sutra game and you're bound to turn your Valentine's Day upside down, backwards, and so forth...

1. Romantic Night In

For a more traditional Valentine's Day, plan a passionate itinerary. Search cookbooks or the Internet for recipes and cook a gourmet dinner together. Turn up the love songs and pop open a bottle of wine to sip while you whip up ingredients. Set the table with candles and feed each other bites of your delicious feast. Don't forget the dessert--anything rich and chocolaty will work up your sensual appetite! After dinner, draw a warm bubble bath, add fragrant rose petals, and light as many candles as possible (without burning down the bathroom). Then relax in the tub with your lady and let the rest of the night take its own course.
