Getting along with people

Reflecting on the past, there is only 2 period of my life where i cant lend into my surrounding. During my short stinct at JC and my NS. Its not tat i dun like them or anything but i find it difficult to express myself in their presence. my frequency and thinkin also seems to differ from them.

i have been thinking hard abt wat and why tis happened, but i cant seems to pinpoint the reason. 1 think 1 thing tat i can think of is the 1st impression. the 1st impression is really very impt. when u came in that 2-4wk define wat ppl think of u. for example when i let myself go and b who i am, my colleague nw will ask me; hey i didnt no u can talk so much...etc etc. but actually in real life tat is me.

When i m in JC or NS, it doesnt matter tat much cos after all it onli 1 period of time ppl come and go, situation change time to time. but if i m goin to work it wld be different. i wld need an environment i am comfortable with and able to communicate and express myself.

i have been quiet and nt expressing myself for e past almost 2 yrs... wat will i b when i take e nx step up?

That crankiness is just your brain's response to outside stimuli, so if you change the stimuli, you can change your mood. Here's how:
1. Fabricate a smile.
Just try to remain angry with a smile on your face -- it's impossible.
2. Clean your room.
Visual confusion makes us uneasy, so remove jagged edges--pick clothes off the floor, remove glasses from the coffee table, make your bed. Visual confusion can work for you, too: Don't want people to linger in your office? Clutter your desk.
3. Put on a blue shirt.
Blue is naturally relaxing (which is why shrinks tell their patients to stare at the sky), while orange is the biggest irritant. Red and purple, by the way, suggest power. Wear them to work and act like a big shot; people will subconsciously obey.
4. Climb the Stairway to Heaven.
Everyone responds to sound differently, but hearing your favorite music--whether it's Zeppelin or Fresh Aire--will energize, motivate, and relax.
5. Order Chinese.
Throw your tastebuds a change-up by putting OJ in your coffee or peanut butter on your toast. Or eat something naturally contradictory, such as sweet-and-sour chicken. Varying textures work, too--try popcorn or nuts.
6. Sniff a lemon.
So underrated, nice smells (fresh fruit, a looming thunderstorm, just-mowed grass) can turn your beat around. A good cigar may seem tempting, but tobacco is a downer.
7. Pet your pup.
Skin-to-skin (or fur) contact, perhaps not surprisingly, is a natural upper.

Phase 1: Weeks 1-4

Day 1

Dumbbell Single-Arm Bench Press

Lie on your back on a bench with a heavy dumbbell in one hand along the side of your chest, palm facing in. Hold your opposite arm straight out to the side for balance.

Push the weight up so your arm is straight above your chest. Pause, then slowly lower the weight to the starting position.

The plan: Do five to seven repetitions with each hand. Complete four sets, resting 2 minutes after each set.

Dumbbell Incline Bench Press

Lie faceup on an incline bench and hold a pair of heavy dumbbells along the outsides of your chest with a neutral grip (palms facing in). Slowly press the weights straight above your chest. Pause, then lower them to the starting position.

The plan: Perform six to eight repetitions. Do three sets and rest 2 minutes after each set.

Dumbbell Incline Fly

Lie on an incline bench and hold a pair of dumbbells over your chest with your arms straight, palms facing forward. Keeping your palms forward, slowly sweep your arms down and out to your sides in an arc until the weights are level with your chest.

Pause, then reverse the motion until the weights are once again above you.

The plan: Perform this exercise as a superset with the next move. That is, do eight to 12 repetitions of the dumbbell incline fly, then immediately move to the parallel-bar dip.

Parallel-Bar Dip

Grab parallel dip bars and lift yourself so your arms are straight. Keeping your elbows tucked close to your body, slowly lower yourself by bending your elbows until your upper arms are parallel to the floor.

Pause, then push yourself up to the starting position.

The plan: Do as many reps as you can, then rest for 3 minutes and repeat the superset one time, performing a total of two sets of each exercise.

Rabbit Saves Lives!

SYDNEY (AFP) - A pet rabbit in Australia was credited with saving its owners Thursday after scratching at the door of their bedroom as their home burned, emergency workers said.

The couple were in their bedroom of their Melbourne home Thursday morning when the pet, named simply "Rabbit", began scratching at the door prompting the husband to investigate, Metropolitan Fire Brigade commander Mick Swift said.

He said the man discovered a fire in the back room with smoke spreading through the house and the couple could have been seriously injured if the bunny had not hopped to the rescue.

"The rabbit saved the couple from injury," Swift said.

He said it took four fire crews to extinguish the blaze, which caused substantial damage. The rabbit and its owners were unhurt.

FF7

Since i saw the ff7 figurine at the toy fair, i am so into it...currently i have sephiroth and cloud with bike and i keep thinkin if i shld get the rest.

currently there are 2 version, ff7 and ff7 advent children. surprisingly ff7 which came out for quite some time already, is more expensive then the newer ff7 advent children.

the cloud in advent children is so damn cool, but i prefer his old bike rather than the new one. the daytona bike had much more detail and the wear and tear shading make it nicer than the modern state of art- black-shiny - bike.

ff7 sephiroth is definitely better den the advent C version. the advent C version looks gay to me.

both the cloud and septhiroth that i have is ff7 version but the problem now is i prefer yuffie and tiffa in the advent C version, vincent in the ff7 version.

so i cant decide whether i shld get the whole of ff7 version or shld i jus get wat i like. if i get different set i nt sure whether it wld look nice if i put them together...

yeah i am 23!!

Celeberated my birthday on july 7 at my place. was quite fun, all the close frens were here except jh and irv. times flies, last year i had a celebration at my place.

i made a wish last year tat tis year i wld have a similar celebration and dere u go my wish came true.

1st Singapore comic and toy fair

I went to suntec convention hall last saturday to check out our very 1st comic and toy fair. the hall was choke full of living bodies. some of the creator was present as well signing on the figurine for the fans. although its a fair, but not many of the figuring were on sale. many was there only for display purposes. despite the hype and crowd i felt that it was abit of disappointment for me. there was much item u could have bought there, most of it that u can buy is jus some soft toys cute robots and perhaps u heard of the tofu man. Basically a character in a form of tofu. Kinda cute and unique but i dun really no would i get it for.

There is just this one stall tat exhibit FF7 character and i saw sephrioth and vincent... damn tempted to buy... but 1 wld cost ard $50. (comic connection selling at $69.90). Kinda regretting it now.

Should i get?

Some general thoughts...

Bill gates left microsoft as a full-time employee last friday, reading through the article, you can see the things that he do is very remarkable. Its is not just the programming skill that created microsoft. The way he is able to dominate the market is unparalleled. His strategy, vision and marketing skill have allow microsoft to conquer every single domain in the PC field. Internet, email, program, operating system... etc.
The richest man on earth with a fortune worth of US$58 Billion

Singapore maybe small with a population of 4.5 million, but the latest statistic showed that we have a total of 77,000 millionaire in Singapore. Hopefully i would soon be able to contribute to the growing list.
