Barely a week into my job, I am feeling the intensity already. I believe right now I am operating at the 75% level. I thought my honeymoon period will last longer. I believe by early next week I will be fully integrated into my role. The pace is quite fast, normally the 1st week is just to observe and see how other people do things.
Just when I thought I am out of breath, my superior told me that I will be traveling to Italy with them.
I am left with only 10 working days to absorb as much information as possible, because I will b replacing one of my colleague for the trip, not as an additional help, meaning I will be taking over his job.
Not sure about reason why they suddenly decide to bring me along, but i believe this would be an opportunity to learn on the big stage.
Only 4 will be travelling, 2 are my superior, 1 designer and me.

Sam is a funny guy...
Its now 12:47 but i am updating blogs.
Time is short for me because of my new job. But when i have all e time in e world for e past few months i dun feel like updatin my blog. in fact i feel more busy before i gt a job. but i think i am rite to a certain extend.
before i gt a job, i need to ear breakfast.
before i gt a job i need to play my left for dead
before i gt a job i need to watch my gundam
before i gt a job i need to read manga
before i gt a job i need to play d2
before i gt a job i need to i need to find a job.
after i have a job, all i need is to do my job.
see now i gt more time.
Well rite now i am workin in toapayoh lor 8 basically just opposite of cw and nw block. i just have to walk 5 min. it really does feel gd when i can just walk up to my place after lunch and close my eyes for 15 min on my bed.
My boss are nice ppl, at this point of time. but i am nt sure tmr
pay wise, i shall nt mention here but still ok for e market now.
Jobscope wise cover alot of ground, cos its a small company with onli a team of 7 ppl including me(delivery and packing excluded). so basically alot to do.
my company handle children educational material. so we print and sell children books. mainly kindergarden level. for a small company i think dey have a big customer base. altho economics bad but we are venturing oversea and we will be buying our own printing machine. so everything will b in house, designer, print, delivery, marketing all in house.
my job include marketing, customer service, admin as well as events.
marketing- gt promotion need market books
customer service- need take order, process delivery and bla bla u no
admin- type lor
events-bookfair
wat really attract me is marketing and events.
we have new series of book coming up and various proj. we have plans to go into retail also. going into retail really interest me. i believe i will learn alot from this.
you can be working for 2 years as a marketing exec, but if in my resume i can state wat i actually did, helping to set up a retailing outlet for e company bla bla, i believe it really looks gd.
same goes for events, its part of marketing as well and best of all get to travel. this month 4 from my company is going to italy for book fair. zzz newbie dun get to go...so sad in oct dere will b beijing, we are looking at korea and jap too. hopefully i get to go to all this places as well.
well is pink and rosy now but i am onli with e company for 2 days, i duno how things is going to be like. but if everything turns out like wat i see, i think its quite a gd job to start with for me.
for colleague wise, we had 5 person starting work together. so we are at e same lvl. and age wise its all 22-25 except our boss. so we can get along well. no cb thou for ppl who keep ask me tis question.
office ppl = 7( 5 new, e other 2 join 2 month ago ) so basically we are all same rank same lvl. not much hierachy. which is wat i enjoy most. i dun have a senior or manager to look out for. i just have my boss above me.

Just one more complaint ok?
I am so lucky, or rather my frens are so lucky. I watch Arsenal vs Fulham at my home last nite. no msn no contact with the outside world. My frustration reach the highest lvl last nite. poor zombie, choky and alimushroom had to listen to my tirade of critics on the team.
I was so frustrated, not becos of eboue or diaby. becos arsenal just cant score and becos the arsenal tat i support pass the ball ard with opponent chasing shadow. but yesterday fulham pass the ball ard with us chasing shadow.
I tot yesterday diaby was good, better than usual. Eboue was doin alrite nwadays. but arsenal as a whole just aint gd enuf. cesc flamini hleb can keep the ball better den the whole string of midfield plus striker yesterday.
clichy and sagna, i really support dem, but dey just cant cross. or rather our striker and midfield cant head. or i think is both.
suddenly toure and gallas look superb. keeping out any fulham attk tat came.
The neutral or commentator keep saying patience is a lost virtue among the fans, but i can tell u, if we swap place with man u. diaby can pass to opponent for all his liking, bendtner can miss open goal and we will still say come on, bentner is onli 21...
but we are 5th behind villa for 8 pts if dey win stoke and i think dey will. so its nt tat we do not have patience but we are staring at uefa cup now. not onli villa have to draw or lose 4-5 games from nw til end of season. We need to win every single match. both are nt feasible. we cant even beat fulham at home, wats more we can expect.
on e plus side just tat little plus side...
Arshavin is quality. He didnt get e ball much last nite. but when he gets e ball he whips in a pinpoint header in between the 2 central back. exactly on to van persie forehead. onli for RVP to head straight at swazer.
Another arshavin true ball puts RVP 1 v 1 with keeper, again RVP shoot straight at swazer. disappointing but who can blame RVP, after alll he single handledly carry us tru e past few matches. we cant jus depend on 1 player.
Vela looks good on e left flank. running at e defender whenever he gets e ball.streches the opposition defense. but he really needs to up his composure when given e chance to score.
I still think maintain that a dm is wat we need most...its shows especially with cesc injured. if wenger had sign a dm(alonso) think wont be like tis.
all in all, i feel tat this season of disappointment is nt cause by e players, its by wenger refusal to sign new player. selling 3 1st team midfield and replace it with another 3 from reserve is just not e way forward.
